6 Months In Korea
Time For a Road Trip
- Location: South Korea
- Date: January 2022
After spending six months in Korea, my journey has already been a whirlwind of experiences. I've made so many friends along the way, but for many of them, it was time to say goodbye. It turns out that most exchange students only stay for a semester, while those from UK universities often stay for a full year. With only a few weeks remaining for many of them, everyone was eager to squeeze in as much exploration as possible before heading home. Though I wasn’t under the same time constraints, I happily joined in on the adventures.
One of our most memorable trips was a road trip around Korea, lasting just over a week. We traveled to cities I had never heard of, wandered through villages that felt like hidden worlds, and visited historical sites brimming with stories and culture that left us in awe. There’s something unique and a little surreal about trusting people you’ve only recently met enough to journey with them for a week, yet it’s that leap of faith that made this adventure so unforgettable. This road trip is undoubtedly one of my favorite experiences so far.
