Getting my first professional camera in Korea was a big leap forward for my photography journey. Before that, I relied solely on my phone for photos, and this shot stands out as one of my best from that time. I quickly picked up on the power of editing and the advantages of shooting in RAW over JPEG. I set my phone to save images in both formats, so I could send quick JPEGs if needed and use the RAW files for more detailed editing.

This particular photo took me about an hour to complete, as I was experimenting with new techniques to create a futuristic, Tokyo-inspired aesthetic. It really put my understanding of photography to the test and challenged me to explore color filters and masks. Looking back, I think I managed to capture that vibe just right!
