My friends and I took a trip to Jeju Island, and although I didn’t have my own camera yet, I was lucky to borrow one from a friend for the entire trip. Up to that point, I’d mostly been posting photos of others on my Instagram, so I figured it was time to get some shots of myself as well. My approach was simple: I’d take a photo of a friend from a specific angle or spot, then teach them to replicate it so they could capture the same style for my pictures. It was a great way for me to get the shots I wanted while also building my own comfort in front of the camera.

Teaching my friends how to use the camera and experiment with settings helped reinforce my own knowledge as I explained the basics of framing, adjusting settings, and understanding shot composition. It was a fun, collaborative experience that enhanced both my skills and confidence.
