Asked for Advice
I'm good enough to give Advice?

During my time at university, I became somewhat infamous for my magic tricks and photography. SNU, like many universities, organized various activities for international students, and one of the events was a trip to Suwon, a historic fort just outside of Seoul. We took a train there, and during the journey, a fellow student approached me to say she had seen my work on Instagram. (I keep my profile public since it’s dedicated to photography.) I thanked her for the kind words, but then she asked me for advice on photography.
That question completely threw me off—I had only started my photography journey less than a year earlier, so I didn’t feel qualified to give advice. It was a surreal moment for me, but now, after about four years of taking photos, the advice I gave her that day still holds true: You have to get out there and take photos. Experiment with different styles, find what you love, and keep pushing your boundaries. Stay curious, try new things, and most importantly, keep it interesting.
